McHenry County Civil War Flags need your Help! Due to age, our Illinois regimental flags have deteriorated and need restoration. The Illinois National Guard and Militia Historical Society are asking you for your support in restoring these state treasures.

Organized at Camp Fuller, Rockford on September 4, 1862.
There were 1,324 volunteers who joined the regiment.
Traveled 9,960 miles during the civil war.
